Questions by: Boris
With: Carmen Elise Espenaes (Vocals)
- Hello Carmen ! How are you today ?
Carmen: Thanx, at the moment I am on a boat to an island in the nearby of Stavanger and I can`t really say that it is nice weather, it is SNOWING! Hehe! But anyway, I am fine.
In these days there are a lot of things to do, it is the most hectic time of my life actually, but I am doing what I always wanted to do, so I can`t complain about that!
Hope you are fine as well ![]()
- First question to open this interview, a classic one, can you present the band members to our readers?
Yes, of course:
Daniel F. is our keyboarder and at the same time he is taking care of the organization of our homepage and myspace. He always wants to try different things out and has a lot of creative ideas.
Christian H. is playing the guitar and acoustic guitar and mouth harmonica and is also doing a lot of managing and is taking care of the financial stuff in the band, he knows the music business very well and has good connections.
Daniel D., who plays the guitar, acoustic guitar and also sang on our bonus track 'October' is just exploding of great music ideas and melodies, I love to sit together with him and do some improvisations for new songs. He is also taking care of the organization of transport when we are on the road.
Chris M. is playing the drums and knows a lot about graphic design and does a lot of planning and organization of the concerts and the merchandise.
Birgit plays the bass and acoustic bass and is helping Chris with the concerts and me with some interviews.
And the last one, me, I am singing, writing the lyrics and am responsible for the promotion.
- How start your adventure in MIDNATTSOL? I read that it was Christain Hector who contact you.
You have really right when you say that an adventure was started, if you had told me this 10 years ago, I would never have believed you! Faith surely played an important role here, because we even lived in different countries and still we found each other, hehe!!
Everything started some years ago, in 2002, when I moved from my hometown Norway to Germany because of learning more about the German culture and language, but most of all because I missed my sister so much. I was at a new stage in life, wanted to bring the little melodies keep circling around in my head to grow up to real songs by instruments as well. I told my friends and family about my wishes for founding a band, about the same time Chris H. told about his wishes for founding a band too. So thanks to nice friends, we met in a metal-disco in the nearby of Stuttgart, Rockfabrik, and talked about our plans and wishes. And luckily, we had some of the same ideas.
From that point on, things went very fast. Chris talked with some of the earlier members of their ex-band Penetralia, Chris M. and Daniel F, and they were curious about finding out what this was. Chris contacted Birgit and we saw that we functions well together as a band, and with this formation we started to make some songs. The writing process went very fast, it was like the ideas popped out of us, it was a great time. But it didn`t stop there, it was only the beginning: in a very short time we made a demo, Daniel D became a member of the band, we got a record deal with Napalm Records and you surely know the rest of the story….

- About your names band MIDNATTSOL, who found it? Can you explain to us what this expression Midnight Sun means to you?
The name came because of a dialouge Christian H. and I had, we talked about what the band was going to be called and then we decided that it should be Midnattsol. I don`t exactly remember, but I think it was Christian that had the concrete idea Midnattsol. For me Midnattsol is the perfect name for the description of our music: Midnattsol is a Nordic nature phenomenon, and has something very mystical, when you see this sun you can feel a special atmosphere, you can escape to a special beautiful world, from this many times horrible modern world. On the same time it is said that when the midnight sun shines, nature creatures like trolls and elves comes out from their hidings. So it shines in a mystic time where the phantasy can go wild. And this has a connection with our music and especially with the lyrics as well.
- MIDNATTSOL sounds obviously Folk & Metal. How did you decide to create music in such folklish tunes, mixed with some metal melancholic melodies?
We didn't quite decide it in that way, we don`t plan the musical direction in detail before we start the song writing process, it is more like we are playing what is coming out of us. The great thing about us is that we always play the kind of music that we want to and not the style some people tell us to. We get an idea or a melody or we are just starting to improvise a song, what perhaps has a connection to with the fact that our music is real and honest. After a while we saw the red line through all our songs, which can be described like you do. The reason why we are playing it is certainly the mix of all our special inspirations and musical directions. That is very typical for us that we have inspiration from different kinds of musical directions, the members of the band listen to different kind of music and get inspired in different ways, and the result is Midnattsol.
- Is there any band who inspired you? I know that you really appreciate bands like OPETH or ANATHEMA.
Yes you are right, these bands besides My Dying Bride or the Spanish Band Savia are inspiring me a lot. I can`t say how much I adore the voice of Vincent in Anathema, he has the most emotional and beautiful voice I know. But there are also non-metal bands that are inspiring me, e.g. Dead can Dance, which is actually loved by many metal and gothic fans. Their music is touching my heart, it goes under my skin.
- How was the reaction from the audience with your first opus Where Twilight Dwells?

It wasn`t how we expected it to be, it was better than we would ever dream about. Sometimes I have to stop up a moment and ask myself: "is this really happening?" The first surprise we got was that we put the song 'Desolation' on mp3.de and there were so many thousands of downloads that we got in the charts there. We also had most downloads of all bands one day, that was very special for us. Then we started to get offers for tours and concerts from bands that we would never thought should ask us, like the tour with In Extremo. A pitty that we couldn`t say yes to more concerts because of our job-studies-situation.
Even though some people get annoyed today only listening to a cd with a female singer, we got very good reviews for the debut. But no matter how the reviews are, what really counts are the fans. And the support from the fans that we got is so amazing, it can`t be described with words! The amount of sold cds, the fantastic support on the concerts that we get, the friendly mails and comments on our homepage, our forum, myspace not to forget that some fans even made a special French forum for the French fans, we are so grateful for that!
At this place: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT TO ALL YOU GUYS OUT THERE, EACH SINGLE OF YOU MEANS A LOT TO US!
- After the release of this album, you have done some shows. What can you tell me about the fact to play live your music? How do you feel on stage?
It is a great way of meeting the fans, I really feel a special connection to the fantastic fans during the concerts. We look in each other eyes, some are singing with me, I can show all my feelings in the songs, let everything out of my soul, very magical. The bad thing about concerts are the technical site of it.
on the first perhaps ten concerts I did I didn`t hear anything of what I was singing because of technical problems like mistakes on my in-air, not caring people looking another way when you are waving for help or too loud instruments. This helpless, frustrated feeling that I got is my worst nightmare. The people in front of the stage doesn`t know anything and just think you are drunk or something when you don`t even know which tones you are singing. But I have I won`t experience that again, lets hope for that.
- Dealing with your first album, Nature, Creatures and Nordic Mythology was inspiring you a lot. Can you tell me more about?
First of all I have to say that even though I am a huge fan of Nordic mythology and my lyrics are inspired by Norwegian tales, the main persons in my lyrics are not Odin and Tor, there is a lot more into my lyrics than that. But I am very interested in Nordic mythology, which is because I think it is so fascinating to learn about my roots and traditions, to understand how the people was thinking and living in the old days and how the mythology influenced the peoples way of being. I am the kind of person who loves films about historical events and especially when you can see how people lived years ago, e.g. Brave Heart or the Norwegian film Kristin Lavransdatter are some of my favourite movies.
What I also think is inspiring in that Nordic mythology focus on the nature and natural creatures, the opposite of what is happening in the industrial world at the moment, which I think is extremely sad.
Last but not least I think it is so interesting that the Nordic mythology actually gives one advices that are the same like the advices nowadays. One advice that you perhaps would never have thought about is that you shouldn`t drink too much alcohol... Wouldn`t believe that when you read about all the drunk Vikings, hehe!
- About your new album Nordlys, soon to be released, are you still influenced by Nature & Mythology? Are you still inspired by Huldra (can you give some words about) ? Or more Nature as Nordlys means Northern Light?
Like on the first album as well, I am mostly influenced by the nature, like when I am for a walk in the untouched Norwegian woods or sit in front of the powerful ocean. But the nature creatures in Nordic tales are also inspiring me a lot, especially Huldra, like you indicate. It was said in old Norwegian tales that she lived in the woods and lured men to her wit her beauty, but afterwards she did horrible things to them and also raped them and they never came back. It was perhaps a way to answer the question why the men weren`t coming back from their trips in the woods. I think it is a very fascinating tale and you can find many parallels to tales of other cultures here.
- This second album was recorded at the Mastersound Studio. How was your new passage in this famous studio? Your collaboration with Alex?

I have to say that it was an amazing time, I felt I grew a lot in that period, both musically and personal. And what a great thing to do the best thing in the world combined with working with such professional producers like Alex Krull and his team, they are creative, have great ideas, their equipment is first class, and the atmosphere is amazing. I feel like I am at home, we are having a lot of fun and laughing, sometime I had to take breaks, because I couldn`t stop laughing. Have only positive things to say about that.
You can read more about the recording experiences and look on the photos on http://trig.com/midnattsol Enjoy!
- On the cover of Nordlys, we can see two characters (Birgit and you), one dressed in black and the other dressed in white, facing each other like two souls escaped from a faerytale, surrounding by one element Nature, and seems to be part of it like yin and yang. Whats your personnal opinion about it and what is your meaning behind this? And about the aurora borealis who surrounds the bands name?
Nordlys, the northern light in English, as the amazing green like shimmering light its shivering out, stands as a perfect symbol for the beautiful but mystical site of the nordic nature, which is a great inspiration for both the music and the lyrics of Midnattsol. This light shows the real beauty of the world, far away from material and industrial things, which only take us further away from the real meaning of life after my opinion. At the same time, the northern light, which appears because of the energetic connection between two extreme poles, the sun and the earth (like you see on the cover, Birgit and I are symbolizing these two poles and the connection between them) stands for diversity, it is made of two extreme poles, and stands as a symbol for treasuring different sites of life, both rain and sunshine. Like I sing in the song 'Wintertime': How could I ever recognize the light, without dark clouds? Everything in the nature is special and beautiful in their way and shouldn`t be seen as negative.
The title is also strongly connected with the musical site of the album; the songs are diverse like the northern light as well, they content beautiful and melancholic melodies with inspiration of the folk, but at the same time complex song structures, heavy guitars and loud drums with a lot of double bass are central elements in the music. So the title was chosen because of its perfect fitting to the music and the lyrics on the new album, but also to the general band concept and style. So every element on Nordlys, from the title to the layout and so on, is strongly connected, like a whole package, so to say.
- Is this new cover was made by the same artist who create your first one, Ingo Römling?
Yes, all of us the band wanted that he should do this cover as well, Ingo is amazing, I don`t understand how he can manage to create such beautiful, mystical, special covers that fit perfectly to the concept of our band. We are so grateful that he wants to work together with us, it is a great honor for us! The cover of our debut was by many people called the most beautiful cover they have ever seen. And again, Ingo made a master piece, after our opinion. Hope you like it as well!
- Do you wrote all the lyrics for this new opus? What can you say to us about the new songs that you will offer to us?
Yes, I wrote all of the lyrics besides the song on the limited edition, 'October', Christian H. wrote these lyrics. I think you mean the lyrics here, don`t you? Well, many of the songs are about or have a touch from this beautiful and at the same time powerful nature, direct description of the nature you can especially find in the songs 'En Natt I Nord', 'River of Virgin Soil', 'Wintertime' and 'Northern Light'. The Nordic nature can almost be seen as another kind of world, a world to which you can escape when you need a break from this material industrial society. And for sure, I need this break, in fact I can`t stand how we are destroying ourselves focusing on the wrong things in life, destroying other people and last but not least the animals and the nature.
This society critical view, which is quite up to date when it comes to central discussions in the world at the moment, is much more direct than on the other album, which you can see clearly in the songs 'Open Your Eyes' and 'New Horizon'.
But for sure, the lyrics are not only about the Nordic nature and traditions, they content a lot more than that. Personal feelings, thoughts and experiences are always themes in the songs, e.g. a special connection to someone, sadness, or thoughts about time running away…So even though the nature is a central theme, the music sets its focus at the same time on different themes, which I am sure many people can identify with.
- Are you singing in English and Norwegian in “Nordlys” ? Or do you use other languages to express your feelings through your lyrics?
I have to say that my feelings of the individual songs play an important role for the chosen language, and as on the debut, the languages I sing in is English and Norwegian. I can`t really describe why I do it, it is like you indicate just a feeling that I get when I write a text for a certain song. It comes some text lines in my head and then I often can`t change it, I just have to continue. It has a lot do with intuition, it has to fit with the atmosphere. When I sing in Norwegian, it is very personal for me, it is more close because it is my mother tongue. I also sometimes combine it with songs with folk elements, it fits well together, like perhaps 'En Natt I Nord'. It wouldn`t give the same feeling in another language. But at the same time Norwegian is very difficult to sing, and English gives me more opportunities to experiments with words, because English has enormously more words than Norwegian.
- And now, if you’re ok, lets speak a little about you before to follow this interview with MIDNATTSOLs actuality. As everybody knows, Liv Kristine is your sister. Have you been influenced by her in your music? Everyday life?
You have to think about the fact that Liv is 8 years older than me, so even though we were always soul mates, we weren`t spending every day with each other, we were of course in different phases in life. But also if we didn`t use to sing together or something like that, music was always a great part of our individual lives. Liv used to sing with a hair brush in front of the mirror wanting to be Madonna (hehehe!!
), while I was sitting in my room alone writing songs on my little keyboard. Sometimes I was singing so much that my sister and her friends ran out of the house searching for silence. After 100 times she couldn`t stand my songs.. Can`t understand that!!! (hehe!!
)
I also played many instruments, went on a musician school and learned how to write notes. In a certain period of time I wrote one story or text every day, so you can imagine how many boxes with texts my parents have.
Live gig were in front of school or family. I won a price at school for my critical-society song, funny. So like you understand, making music and singing had an immense value for me as a child, and for Liv too. But I don`t think we inspired each other that much musically. But regarding the very day life, she has inspired me a lot since the day I was born.
- How are your relations with Liv? Did she miss you when you’re younger and she decided to move in Germany?
Yes, we always miss each other when we arent in the nearby. We are like soul mates, we were always and are still really close to each other. She means so much to me. But even though we can`t see each other every day, the love that we have for each other, never change.
- When you’ve started singing in MIDNATTSOL, did she gives you some advices? Like a sister or like a singer? Or both?
Yes she and Alex Krull gave me a lot of advices, especially concerning the music business and its bad men, hehe!! ;) E.g, be careful of false people, not in a paranoid way of course, but just don`t be too naïve. I was naive and even though I got these tips her, I wasn`t that careful, and afterwards I got some of the same bad experiences that my sister had. They also told me to not letting people stepping at me because they are jealous. I should believe in myself and what I do, no matter what people say or write. Be true to myself and my music. Both of them are always supporting me, they have helped me in many ways, through their love, advices and support, I am very grateful for that.
- Do you mind (or absolutely not) about the fact to be compared with your sister, as a singer or even through your bands music?
In the beginning I was very sad that people always compared me with Liv and that some people claimed that i would just try to follow my sister`s footsteps and be famous. Such a boolshit, they couldn`t have taken more wrong. And I thought that this reputation is not good for us, that people wouldn`t take me and Midnattsol serious.
But luckily, I saw after a while that it has much more positive effect than negative. My sister is well known in this business and is touring a lot, so through her a lot of people got to know about us, with other words, for the promotion it opened many doors. And of course, it is positive to have the connections, through her I have since I was a teenager that had the chance to meet great people in the music business. So I think all in all you can say that it was much more positive than negative for Midnattsol.
On the other hand, we hadn`t come where we are now, if we wouldn`t work hard every day, burning for what we are doing and having that quality of the music, lyrics, artwork and so on. It is so difficult to get a good record deal today, it is definitely not enough just to have the same last name as a well-known person, it is the whole package that you have to deliver.
- For how long you have been singing? Did you get some singing lessons?
I think I was around 5 years old. My sister taught me how to write before I started school, so I started writing songs with the help of numbers, too complex to explain the whole thing. At least, I spend a lot of time singing and making music and afterwards record it. Sometimes my sister was so bored hearing my voice that she shut with the doors or went other places, in a way, I can understand her, thinking about me sitting there playing keyboard and sing day in and out. ![]()
When I was 8 I learned writing tones at school, and started singing in a choir and playing a lot of different instruments in the orchestra. When I learned to write better, I wrote texts every day. My parents don`t know where to put all these books, stories and texts that I wrote, there are plenty of boxes standing around. I sang concerts official and at home, I can remember all the tears of my parents. I sang about things that I shouldn`t know so much about, so many text about deep feelings, loneliness, sadness, and especially other worlds, e.g. about a girl living in the nature, among nature creatures.
I also went to musician school where I took a few singing lessons, but I liked exploring the singing myself better.
When I became a teenager I started to sing guest vocals for some local bands and slowly I started to get the feeling of founding my own band. The rest of the story I explained earlier in this interview.
- Do you still play an instrument (piano, flutes...) or do you concentrate more on your vocals?
Even though I have been playing many kinds of instruments during my life, I have so less time because of work, studies and band that I simple don`t find time to it. But I will find time to it later, just have to be a bit patience with it at the moment. ![]()
- What are you doing besides the band, during your free time?
Besides my greatest passion making music and singing I love different languages and cultures, I wish I could learn all the languages of the world, it is so exciting! Love to explore different places of the world, until now my favorite big city is Barcelona. Other hobbies are ice skating, skiing, yoga, meditation, psychology and pedagogy. Sometimes I feel that I have so many hobbies that I can`t get peace, I never felt bored, sometimes I wished I knew how it is, hehe!! Luxury problem with other words. Not to mention hanging out with my friends, I feel so blessed to have such fantastic friends in good and bad days like I have, they mean so much to me.
- About your musical taste, what are you listening these days? And if I met you when you we’re a teenager, what kind of music I’ll listening with you Carmen?
Oh, I had a much more heavier musical taste than I have now, I listened to Dimmu Borgir, Satyricon, Cradle of Filth, but also to Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, not to mention on TOT, Tristania and Sins of thy Beloved. Now I listen to a wide range of music, everything from classical to metal, but mostly to more melodical metal bands and also folk metal bands, e.g. Anathema, Amorphis, Lumsk, Gåte, Paradise Lost. At the moment I also love the spanish band Savia and I listen a lot to Linkin Park as well.

- I heard that some years ago, you were invited to join CRADLE OF FILTH on tour, and you have to decline the invitation 'cos of your studies. Is there any musician or bands you want to sing / work with?
Like I already mentioned, I have a special thing for the voice of the singer of the Anathema, Vincent, I think I would get crazy if I had the possibility to sing together with him, hehe!!
And I would love to work together with the fantastic singer of Amorphis, he has an incredible voice.
Of the female singers it would be amazing to work together with Lisa from Dead can Dance, but believe me, I am not so naïve that I would think she would call me tomorrow, hehe!!
Last but not least, I would love to work with my sister, which I am sure will happen in the future, we both just need to find time for it.
- I know that you speak 5 or 6 languages fluently (Norwegian, English, Spanish, German, Hebraic...). Do you learn other languages, like french for example ; ) ?
I am not going to a language course or something right now, because I really don`t find time to it. But since I was a huge fan of the French soap Helen de Garcons or something like that [NDR. The right title is Hélène & les garçons ;) ], I automatically learned a bit French. I bought all of her CDs and tried to translate her lyrics, Shall I tell you a secret: Helen was such a role model for me with her friendly and fair way of being, always helping her friends and having beautiful long hair. That is one of the main reasons that I have long hair, I got it when I was nine and never stopped having it long. Wow, I am really telling you secrets here, I know that many French people cannot stand this soap that went during the 90s.
- And do you make some progress in Japanese?
Unfortunately no, if I would just have time for everything!! The day should have 100 hours, hehe!
- Whats regard your parents have on the work-career of their two talented daughters?
You mean if they influence us? They only support us like they always do, they are so lovely and caring. They only want us to be happy and support us where they can. They are so proud of us and give us a lot of compliments, but they would never be angry if we would do something different, as long as we are happy with what we are doing. We are really lucky to have such parents, love them so much!
- Do you think that your family, mostly your parents, got an influence in your musical tastes? I read somewhere that you said that your dad was the greatest OZZY-fan in your town.
Wow, you did a great research and are well-informed, much respect for that! It had surely an influence on our interest in metal music that our father fed us with Ozzy from the day we were born. Our loud speakers were always destroyed because of mama, I`m coming home..
My mother sings very beautifully, and she always sang a lot for us, but we weren`t like the typical musical family you could think, we were not that kind of family that sat together and sang like the Kelly family, we didn`t even have a real piano, just a key board, hehe.
- Who are your favourites singers besides Lisa Gerard? Do you know singers like Kari Rueslatten, or the Edvarsens sisters (Ann-Mari - The 3rd & The Mortal / Monika - Atrox)?
Yes, I have heard about them, they are great singers! Yes, you are right, my absolute favorite singer is Lisa Gerard and for some weeks ago I discovered a Norwegian woman that is very successful in Norway at the moment, Elvira Nickolaisen, and I simply can`t stop listen to her deep emotional voice filled with so much volume. Her music is not metal, but I love her voice. Las but not least I adore my sister`s voice, never heard her sing a false note, it is incredible!

- Now, back to your actuality if you want. Is there a song that you prefer in your new album? What can you tell me about what we’ll found in the new songs of “Nordlys”?
Carmen: Even though it is true, I will not leave it by saying that I love all the songs on Nordlys. We all agreed in the beginning of the song writing process that we only wanted to keep the songs on the record that all of us 100% like and identify with, so I can say honestly that I like the songs for what they are and each of them fit to different moods and situations. But I have to admit that 'Nothern Light' and 'River of Virgin Soil' are my favorites, which I can explain with the feelings that I get inside by singing and listening to them. For me they are very melancholic and emotional songs which come from deep deep within. It feels like my whole soul is opening, everything comes out. Personally I prefer to listen to music that is honest, real. Additionally I love the beautiful melodies of the guitars and also the folk touch that they deliver.
- Did you add some clean male voice in Nordlys or it’s just your voice who will deliver the “Nordlys” tales?
Actually, Daniel D., our guitarist is singing on the song 'October', which can be heard on the limited edition. When we heard about the limited edition, I was back in Norway and I didn`t have time to come back before the recordings. So Daniel D. stepped in and we were very satisfied with the result! He has a great authentic clean voice!
- For this album, do you have some plans to make a video from the album?
At the moment, we are discussing about a video, but it is not 100%, so I am afraid that I can`t say anything more than that right now. But if we are deciding to make a video, we will announce it as soon as possible on our homepage.

- And about the fact that MIDNATTSOL has two of the most beautiful creatures in the Metal scene, what’s your point of view about women and metal males audience? Sure that you prefer that people focus more on your music...
Wow, what a compliment, thank you so much! Very nice of you to say that! ![]()
Yes, I couldn`t agree more with what you are saying, I think that it is so wrong focusing on the sexes of the front singer, in stead of what`s really counts, the music. Is the music for you real, is the music for you great to listen to, does the music gives you something? That are for me the things that are important when it comes to the question if the band is good after my opinion or not. Of course the voice of the lead singer is extremely important, but it shouldn`t depend on the sex of the singer. I just make music and sing, and I let the listeners decide whether they want to listen to us or not. And fortunately until now I have to say that most of the reactions and response were in fact not only good, but overwhelming, which of course we are very grateful for. ![]()
- As you’re back in Norway some months ago, as Birgit lives in Switzerland (if she didnt moved yet) and the rest of the band is based in Germany, how do you see your future rehearsals? Did you find the secret of teleportation like in Star Trek ? ;)
We all in Midnattsol moved a lot and lived in different cities and countries as well. Birgit is back in Germany again, but now I live in Norway and other members moved as well. But still we always find a solution, because we all want to do this and we burn for what we are doing, we go for it more than 100 %. It takes a lot of effort, but music files over internet and technical equipment at home do it possible for us to practice and write new songs at home. And we have rehearsals regulary, I go to Germany quite often. So we don`t need teleportation, but thanx for the tip anyway, hehe!! ![]()
- Congratulations to be part of the new edition of Summer Breeze festival! Three years ago, I saw you there for the first time and I’ll be there too for your second venue. How did you live this experience : to be the band who have opened the festival?
It was a fantastic event with amazing people! It was also quite special regarding the extremely warm weather (remember that I am a Norwegian girl not used to degrees over 30, hehe!!) A lot of sun, I had to drink all the time, so like you know there are a lot of picture of me making grimaces when I am drinking. What can you do, you can`t hide anything for the photographs, hehe!!
Summer Breeze is definitely one of my favourite festivals, I love the people, the atmosphere, not to mention the fantastic French pancakes that I always have to eat there. My sister and I always eat cheese and banana on these pancakes, that is a must, so while we are enjoying it, other people are puking besides us, hehe!! There are always top bands as well, one of my best memories is when Amorphis played there in 2003, it was so emotional and well-played. Summer Breeze here we come!!!!! ![]()
- Will you play in other festivals this year?
Right now we are in the planning phase regarding live activities, so I can`t say so much yet. But we will come with more information on the new homepage, so you can read there where we are going to play. But besides Summer Breeze I can say that we are going to play on the FMVF in Belgium this year, so we hope to see you there!!! There is always such a great atmosphere there, we are so looking forward to it!
- Is there a chance to see you live in France in 2008?
We experience such an amazing support from people from France, I have regular contact with many French people, so I really hope that this can be possible! Sometimes I wish I could just hug you all for everything that you did for us and it would be so great to meet you in personal and experience at the beautiful France!
- Well, Carmen, it’s now the end of this long interview and I thank you very much to have take on your precious time to make it! Wish you good luck for your new album Nordlys, out the 28th March. See you at Summer Breeze, and before this, I give you the last words...
Thank YOU so much for the interesting interview and for your time as well, it was a great pleasure for me! And I want to thank you and the amazing fans out there once again for the support! I am so looking forward to see you all on Summer Breeze.
Hope you like the new album! Last but not least: Take good care of yourself and have a great metal new metal year !
Carmen
